Mrs Torres earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology from the University of Oxford in 1980. She subsequently completed her legal studies and obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 1986, where she distinguished herself through academic excellence and active involvement in legal research and publications.

Furthering her commitment to understanding the psychological aspects of family disputes, Mrs Torres obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Cambridge in 1991. In addition to her qualifications as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, she is also professionally trained in counselling and conflict resolution, bringing a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to her legal practice

Mrs Torres applies her extensive legal and counselling expertise to complex family law matters, including divorce, child arrangements, financial settlements, and family mediation. She is an accredited Family Mediator and is widely recognised for her ability to assist clients in navigating highly sensitive and emotionally challenging disputes with professionalism, empathy, and practical legal guidance.

Alongside her work at Richard Awuni Chambers, Mrs Torres remains actively involved in the development and delivery of programmes that promote effective collaboration between the legal and mental health professions.
